We held the opening meeting of the OzU AI Platform, where we brought together academia, business world and technology leaders for the first time in Türkiye for the future of artificial intelligence.
At the OzU AI Platform meeting, which we launched as a result of our close and sustainable collaborations with the business world, we discussed the corporate applications of artificial intelligence, transformation processes, and its effects on the workforce with the managers of 24 platform member institutions.
Our Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees delivered the opening speech of the meeting. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin “The AI transformation we are witnessing today is the most radical, rapid, and comprehensive yet. Therefore, a cultural transformation is essential. No matter what you do, human resources are the most important element. In such a broad-reaching process, our greatest responsibility is to prepare young generations for this world and, in doing so, to build a strong bridge between the business world and academia,” he said.
Speaking at the opening as the host, our Rector Prof. Baris Tan. In his speech, he said, “It is impossible for the academic world to remain indifferent to a transformative development like artificial intelligence. This sustainable structure, which we call ‘Common Sense,’ which we believe should be carried out jointly by academia, the private sector, and the public, will make significant contributions to Türkiye’s AI-focused transformation process.”

Thanks to the strong collaborations we have established with leading business representatives of Türkiye and universities that stand out with their artificial intelligence research, the OzU AI Platform will continue to sustainably develop knowledge sharing and joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence.
